First of all, Happy Holidays to ya'll.
I feel like the title of this post is pretty self explanatory.

This is the first Christmas I won't be with my family.
It's a little bizarre to think about but honestly, I have been trying not to think about it too much.
I was actually doing pretty good until Matthew gave me a call on my lunch break to wish me a Merry Christmas. I started bawling right at the cafeteria lunch table, right in front of all my coworkers.
I was completely embarrassed but they were so supportive of everything.
They told me about bearing their first Christmas' away from their families and assured me that I was in good hands.
Honestly, I am glad I had to work all day on Christmas. It helped me from thinking about what I was missing. The second I had any free time and I looked on any form of social media, I was flooded with pictures of happy families and the California coast. After seeing all that, I decided to steer away from the social media and focus on work.
Once I got off work for the night,
my roomies, Katie and Adam and I, headed to this place called China Cafe
for a traditional "Jewish Christmas" as that was the only place in town that was open.
Thank goodness for Katie, Adam, and the rest of my coworkers though.
I don't think I could have gotten through my first Christmas away from home without them.
